Sandra is the owner/administrator and lead classroom teacher of Little Learners! She has worked in the field of early childhood for 32 years, 26 of which have been in the family childcare field.  Her education includes a Bachelors in Education from University of Cincinnati with an Ohio Dept. of Education pre-k teaching license. With dedication and hard work, her licensed family childcare program had achieved the level of a 5 Star award-winning program. She has, and currently provides a diverse early childhood program responsive to family needs. She is genuinely concerned about the children and families in her care and provides advocacy and support. By applying the principals of "best practice," her program is professional, loving, and responsive. Her program offers a  stimulating, diverse, creative, and safe environment to encourage optimal learning during the early childhood years. By engaging seniors and children together, the needs of the two most vulnerable in the community are met in a compassionate and caring manner.

Little Learners Too is licensed through the Ohio Dept. of Job and Family Services and operates at high-quality standards with educated, car​ing, and committed staff!

Little Learners, Too is an award-winning, Step Up to Quality rated early childhood program! Staff are well-trained and have experience working with children of varying ages planning appropriate experiences to advance development and learning! All staff participate in regular in-service trainings and some hold degrees or credentials in child development, early childhood education, and health and wellness. All staff are fingerprint background checked and physically fit for working with children in early childhood ages.

 

 


Developmentally Appropriate Curriculum

Meeting the "individual" needs of each child at each developmental stage. The Infant/toddler/preschool/pre-k programs align with Ohio's Early Learning and Development Standards set forth from Ohio Dept. of Education. Creative Curriculum and Scholastic themed units are used to guide learning. A school-age program to assist with homework help and activities such as games and field trips, meeting the interests and needs of our older learners.


 

Field Trips and extended learning!

Field trips extend learning for our schoolage groups during the summer and fall!  Field trips are educational and also fun experiences to help our students learn away from the facility. *fees may apply

Meals &Snacks
2 snacks and 1 meal are prepared & served daily in according to the USDA Food guidelines for children ages 12 mos-5yrs eating table foods. **at this time only snacks are being served, families supply a wholesome lunch daily for their child/children**

Fun & Safe Learning Environment

Group time daily with calendar, songs, finger-plays, games, music/creative movement, numbers, patterns, sorting and more.  Activities for infants to meet milestones and enhance development such as language and motor development as well as cognitive learning. Indoor play including learning centers, blocks, art, science, library, housekeeping and dress up! Outdoor play daily weather permitting with fenced play area, climbers, sand/water play, tunnels, riding toys, and more! Indoor play in the large play area with climbers, balls, balance stones, and more! Once monthly visits from Eastlake Library outreach for stories, songs and fingerplays! Service providers from our community, add a special touch to our amazing program!
